NXT TakeOver: WarGames (LiveBlog)

The superstars of NXT are in Houston, Texas, for NXT Takeover: WarGames. As you had read in my preview, this will be the first time since WCW Fall Brawl on September 13, 1998, that an official WarGames has taken place, and the first time since the September 4, 2000, episode of WCW Monday Nitro that any type of WarGames match has taken place.

The kickoff show will start at 7:30PM Eastern, with the main card at 8PM Eastern. There will be two championship matches on the card when Drew McIntyre defends the NXT Championship against Andrade “Cien” Almas and a Fatal Four-Way match between Kairi Sane, Peyton Royce, Nikki Cross, and Ember Moon for the vacated NXT Women’s Championship. The card will also feature Kassius Ohno taking on Lars Sullivan and Aleister Black against The Velveteen Dream as well as the WarGames match between sAnitY (Eric Yong, Alexander Wolfe, and Killian Dain), Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O’Reilly) and Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar w/ Paul Ellering) and Roderick Strong. As with past liveblogs, I will be providing commentary, observations, and a little bit of snark here and there in the section below. And as an added bonus, I might do a TakeOver review blog and/or (if my audio is workable) a podcast of my reaction of TakeOver in the coming days. I hope you all enjoy!
